5 Key Reasons to Choose J. Vaughan Roofing

  1. Our 18-year history equals stability, reliability, and experience. Since the beginning, we have maintained the same Oregon Construction Contractors Board license number (CCB#88412). Learn below why looking up a contractor’s CCB number is a crucial step when evaluating proposals and rating contractors.

  1. 5000+ satisfied customers and counting. J. Vaughan Roofing is an A+, Honor Roll Member of the Better Business Bureau. Service Magic rates us 4.70 out of 5.00 stars. AngiesList gave us their Super Service Award (their highest honor) in 2009 and 2010. And our clean, consistent, longstanding record with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board attests to our commitment to superior quality.

  1. Strict hiring and labor standards upheld. We employ fulltime, year-round, reliable, trained and certified roofing specialists that are paid hourly. No piece workers, subcontractors or day laborers will ever work on your home. Safety is a high priority, including a formal drug and alcohol program. J Vaughan Roofing is fully and properly insured to protect you and our employees.

  1. 10-year workmanship guarantee. We offer a written, transferable guarantee of our work. If you sell your home, our guarantee remains in force. This benefit has become a strong selling point in today’s competitive real estate market.

  1. Cleanup isn’t an afterthought. From jobsite preparation to a magnet sweep finish, we care for your home during each step of the process. Our delighted customers often remark on how pleased they were with both the project and the cleanup.

CCB License Numbers Don’t Lie!

The Oregon Construction Contractor’s Board issued the first license numbers in 1972. The licenses hit six digits, #100000, in June of 1994. In 2009 licenses passed the 190000 mark.

A CCB number will tell you how long a company has been in business. The longer a business has been licensed, the lower the number. For example, our license number is #88412 and a search at the CCB will show that we’ve been licensed for over 18 years.

Licenses are revoked by the CCB as punishment for poor business practices. These companies often “start over,” but they are issued a brand new license number. Look for lower CCB numbers if you want to hire a contractor with a lengthy history and a clean record.
